**Calendar Reminder**

As a reminder, there is no school for students on Fri., Sept. 4, 2026 and Mon., Sept. 7, 2026 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

Sept. 4, 2026, is a normal workday for all 12-month staff. All ACPS offices and schools are closed on Mon., Sept. 7, 2026. Students are back to school and learning on Tue., Sept. 8, 2026.

First week is done and what a way to close it out! Thanks to every Dragon family who came out to celebrate with ice cream and games! And a huge thank you to our community neighbors at Fire Department, City of Alexandria, VA for always being there to join us! (And rumor has it may have recruited a future firefighter or two last night 🤗)

Next time we’ll be doing this in our brand NEW school!! 🙌🏼🎉

It has been a fantastic first week and what better way to close it out than with new friends, old friends, and ICE CREAM!!!🍦 Join us tomorrow for our annual back to school Ice Cream Social! 5:30-7pm at Trinity United Methodist Church. Transportation IS provided, check the flyers for more information!

New school year loading… Open House is Friday 1-2:30pm and the first day of school is Monday, Aug. 24 at 8:30am! We can’t wait to see all our Dragons back in action!

El nuevo año escolar está en camino... La jornada de puertas abiertas es el viernes de 1:00 a 2:30 p. m., ¡y el primer día de clases es el lunes 24 de agosto a las 8:30 a. m.! ¡Estamos deseando ver a todos nuestros «Dragons» de vuelta en acción!

Our 5th grade musicians rocked it out at Alexandria Rehab and Healthcare Center yesterday! What a wonderful experience being able to come together with our community in such a fun way! Thank you to Alexandria Rehab for having us!
