“You don’t do it for fame or notoriety or recognition. It’s just the right thing to do.”

For Jimmy (’79) and Cathy Campbell, service has always been about giving back and creating opportunities for others.

Through decades of involvement in their Cleburne community and their support of UTA students, the Campbells have made a lasting impact on the people and communities around them. Their generosity has helped students pursue a business education and build a future of their own.

Now, the Campbells are being recognized for that legacy of service as members of the 2026 UTA College of Business Hall of Fame. The college is also introducing new AI-focused courses, including an advanced cloud computing elective, an AI for Business seminar and capstone, and expanded certificate opportunities for students and working professionals.

“UTA helped shape the way I think about business, leadership, finance and responsibility, and to be recognized by an institution that played such an important role in my life is a real honor.”

Greg Barron’s path to success is defined less by tradition and more by reinvention, persistence and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Barron (’91) began his career as a pilot before an early industry shift redirected his trajectory into real estate. Decades later, he has built a successful career as a business leader while continuing to give back to the College of Business.

Now, Barron is being recognized for that journey as a member of the 2026 UTA College of Business Hall of Fame. Read more about his journey here: https://www.uta.edu/academics/schools-colleges/business/news-and-events/releases/2026/08/07-2/greg-barron-uta-hall-of-fame

🎟️ Join us Oct. 16 to celebrate Barron and this year’s Hall of Fame & Alumni Award honorees. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available now: https://www.uta.edu/academics/schools-colleges/business/about/alumni-awards
