The H.I.R.E. Conference brought together veterans, military spouses, transitioning service members, members of the Guard and Reserve, federal professionals, and top employers in one room to connect and explore new career opportunities.
The Boeing Center for Veteran Transition and Military Families supported this effort to strengthen career pathways for the military-connected community in the D.C. region.
Academic Building One is helping shape Virginia Tech’s presence in Alexandria — and now it’s getting national attention. 📺
The building will be featured on CBS’s America ByDesign™ (Season 6, Episode 4) on June 6 at 9 p.m. EDT.
Designed to bring together students, faculty, industry, and government, the space supports collaboration in computer science, engineering, and business. Its design also reflects a strong focus on sustainability, from a solar-responsive façade to systems that conserve energy and water.
