Big recognition for one of our own 👏
We are proud to celebrate MSAT alumna Branay Hicks ‘18 for being featured in Lyda Hill Philanthropies’ – The Exhibit: Game Changers at the FIFA Fan Festival Dallas. The exhibit highlights women using STEM to transform the world of sports, and Branay was recognized for her work as an athletic trainer helping keep athletes healthy, performing, and competing at the highest level.
From UTA MSAT to national recognition on one of the world’s biggest stages in sport and STEM — we could not be more proud.

Thrilled to recognize Joey Pena of Martin High School as our 2025–2026 MSAT Preceptor of the Year! 👏
Joey has been a constant presence in our program for years and has helped shape the clinical and professional growth of countless MSAT students through his mentorship, leadership, and commitment to excellence.
One of the best full-circle moments in athletic training education is seeing our alumni return as Preceptors and then go on to be recognized for the impact they make on the next generation of students.
Thank you, Joey, for your continued service to our program, our students, and the profession! 👏🩺

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms, mother figures, mentors, and caregivers! Behind every future healthcare professional is someone who encouraged them, believed in them, sacrificed for them, or helped them keep going when things got hard. Today we celebrate that impact. 💙🧡💙🧡

Post 2/2:
Evidence is only valuable if you can operationalize it.
Yesterday, our MSAT students presented their CAT posters at the 3rd annual CONHI Research Expo, moving from research to application, from knowledge to decision-making.
This is how you build clinicians who can function inside real systems of care.
Proud of this group!
