Progress is underway on the new home of UTA’s Master of Science in Athletic Training program in Pickard Hall!

It may not look like much just yet, but this space is being transformed into a new environment for hands-on learning, collaboration and the development of future athletic trainers. We’re excited to watch it come together and share more updates along the way.

Now it’s finally happening.

The renovation of our future home in Pickard Hall is officially underway, and we’re counting down to moving in this August.

We can’t wait to have a space designed for learning, collaboration, and preparing the next generation of athletic trainers.

Our Year 1 MSAT students completed TeamSTEPPS training with Dr. Kunkel, using a paper-chain challenge to practice communication, role clarity, problem-solving, and collaboration under pressure.

Big recognition for one of our own 👏

We are proud to celebrate MSAT alumna Branay Hicks ‘18 for being featured in Lyda Hill Philanthropies’ – The Exhibit: Game Changers at the FIFA Fan Festival Dallas. The exhibit highlights women using STEM to transform the world of sports, and Branay was recognized for her work as an athletic trainer helping keep athletes healthy, performing, and competing at the highest level.

From UTA MSAT to national recognition on one of the world’s biggest stages in sport and STEM — we could not be more proud.
