Arlington Middle School Band

The Spring Trip was a HUGE success for our band! They not only received all Superior ratings and a first place trophy for their division, but they also received the most coveted award that the Music in the Parks offers. The Espirit de Corps Award is the highest honor as it awards the band that shows the most integrity, the best behavior and overall great fellowship. This is a huge honor for our band and we are so grateful that we have Mrs. Gardner to help teach them music, as well as show them it is about so much more than simply playing the right notes.

** Spring Concert **

As a reminder, Spring Concert is this Tuesday at 6:30pm at AHS. A $5 donation will be taken at the door and is highly encouraged.

** Final Reminder for 8th Dance Tickets **

Have your students turn in this permission slip and their payment by TOMORROW the 27th.

We now have a sign-up genius for those wanting to volunteer to help with this year's 8th grade dance.

As a reminder, the band puts this dance on every year as the main fundraiser for our band. It is very important to have our band parents to help out with this event.

We would like to give a HUGE congratulations to both ensembles in the Concert Festival this week on their Superior ratings! That is a incredible accomplishment and we are so proud of them!

The 8th Grade dance will be here before you know it! As you know, the band sponsors this dance each year. It is so important that our awesome band parents volunteer to chaperone and show our support, not only for the band, but for AMS. Please let me know in the comments if you are interested in being a chaperone for this event.

**Spring Trip Meeting**

Parent meeting this tomorrow at 6PM in the cafeteria. This is NOT the chaperone meeting. This meeting will address Covid concerns.

The 8th graders had the opportunity to play with the AHS band at Friday night's game. It was so nice to have them experience a glimpse into what next year will be like!

Last week at the Band Booster meeting/ Beginner Band performance, the Beginner Band impressed us with their skills they have learned in a few short weeks! Thank you, Mrs. Gardner, for helping our children grow into such wonderful musicians!

Thursday:
9:55am - 10:55am - 2 people needed
11:30am - 12:30pm - 2 people needed
2:40pm - 3:40pm - 1 person needed

Friday:
9:55am - 10:55am - 2 people needed
11:30am - 12:30pm - 1 person needed
