Recently, Ms. Boutilier traveled to Nepal - Here is what she has to say!

"I recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of traveling to and hiking in the Khumbu Valley, home to and countless other breathtaking peaks. In Advanced Academics, we talk about “handling hard better,” something I practiced every day on challenging trails. The trip allowed me to embody the IB Learner Profile: being open-minded and curious about new experiences, reflecting on each moment, taking risks on steep terrain, and choosing balance in my life. Sophomores! Do you plan on working in the medical field? Then you need to take IB Biology! IB Biology is an introductory college-level course that helps develop your analytical and critical thinking skills! It will provide opportunities for you to build understanding and awareness of the world around you. When you register, don't forget to add IB Biology, a GPA-weighted course that allows for college credit, to your schedule! Arlington High School

This November, choose to step into the minds that shaped the world — from Shakespeare to Szymborska, from Frankenstein’s lab to the fires of The Road. Discover the power of stories that define what it means to be human. This class is a weighted, honors course. Because great literature doesn’t just tell stories —

Discover IB Film! Join IB Film to unleash your creativity. IB Film is a GPA-weighted elective at AHS that lasts for two years and allows you to learn from great movies across time and around the world. You'll be allowed to create your own cinematic masterpiece and develop storytelling skills and artistic vision! No experience required. Sophomores! When you register in November, consider IB Math as a GPA-weighted course! It's a junior- and senior-level college course that covers statistics, graphing, probability, geometry, calculus, and data analysis. It's great for students who prefer conceptual understanding over memorization, real-world context, and discussion-based classes. See Ms. Fuentes in E200 for more details. Arlington High School

✨Our IB juniors wrapped up The Great Gatsby with a roaring 1920s murder mystery at Jay Glittersby’s mansion! 🥂 Students dressed the part and played a clue-style game straight out of the Jazz Age. Huge thanks to for helping make this dream a reality—we had a blast with all of the great snacks and sparkling cider! 💃🎩
