Last week, our students attended their first concert. Unlike typical concerts, our children were an integral part of the music! Bill Jenkins, a musician and educator, brought nearly 200 instruments that he has accumulated from all over the World for our children to play and sing together.

It was quite a sight to see so many children working on the carpet. Students are completing the Binomial Cube, Trinomial Cube, Moveable Alphabet, Knobless Cylinders, and the Decimal System Layout.

Yes, that's a potato! Ms. Mills and Ms. Kayla carved them into stamps shaped as soup cans and then the children painted them and used them to make prints.
Our study of Andy Warhol also included tracing his pop art soup cans and adding a variety of colors.

The author of the month is Dr. Seuss in the Dogwood classroom. So, last week, children celebrated his birthday in true fashion with these Thing 1 and Thing 2 hats! Here they are dressed up for a reading of The Cat and the Hat during circle time.
