I was blessed to teach a 5 session class on Pastoral Care and Counseling for the NorthStar Women’s Network. I was honored to preach last week in Honey Grove Texas, my very first pastoral assignment while working on my MDIV (1991-1994). I had not been back to this church in over 30 years. I was embraced and loved. What a blessing indeed. Thank you Pastor JD.

I was honored to spend time with Dr. Preben Vang last week at Truett. Thank you Dr. Vang for your leadership with the DMIN Program at Truett (from which I was blessed to graduate almost a decade ago). Thank you for your encouragement and support.

I’m blessed by my dear friend and Colleague, Todd Still. I’m grateful for the time we shared last week at Truett discussing family, faith, and of course, the journey of theological education. Thank you my friend.

I was blessed this evening to join the faith community of Sara Carr as they gathered to celebrate her recent graduation from Leland and her commitment to the Gospel ministry. During the celebration, I met Alfonso Terrell, one of our first graduates. Leland students are the best!

I was blessed to enjoy a luncheon with several church leaders, pastors and Leland students at First Baptist Newport News (some of the participants pictured here.) The Hampton Roads Region represents amazing partnerships with Leland.

I was blessed to accompany three of our students as they preached God’s Word at Hillendale Baptist. Although the students were fulfilling an assignment for preaching class, each one proclaimed God’s Word powerfully and with the love of Christ. Leland students are the best!!!

I was blessed today to share lunch with my longtime friend Clayton King, President of Clayton King Ministries and Co-founder with his precious wife Sharie. Clayton is also Teaching Pastor at Church. “Clayton, I look forward to you and Sharie visiting Leland soon.” Nick Hurst, thank you for your time today as well.

The past and present flowed together beautifully as a former adjunct professor of Leland, Rev. John Mann, spent time with Leland students at the pastors conference at Eagle Eyrie.

I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in the Augusta Baptist Association Preaching Conference at Eagle Eyrie. And such a blessing to have Leland Students attend. Many thanks to the Augusta Association Leadership team, leaders from the BGAV, and all pastors in attendance. Go forward encouraged and refreshed in Jesus’ name.

Members of Leland’s Faculty and Staff hosted for lunch as we shared our deep appreciation for her faithful service to the seminary, and to many churches in Virginia. Katie has accepted a call to pastor in Paducah, KY. We are very grateful for Katie and our support and prayers go with her.
