The Foundation celebrated fifty years of service to the school nutrition community in 2014 and renewed its commitment to the men and women who provide healthy meals to school children. On the flip side, consistent access to nutritious meals makes a significant and positive impact, particularly on students experiencing poverty. School nutrition professional who plan, prepare, and serve meals to school children are making a difference in the lives of these children today. In addition, school children are learning to eat healthy foods which will help them to have a healthier life over the years. The Foundation seeks funding from individuals, corporations and foundations to assist school nutrition professionals as they provide nutritious meals for America’s children and create healthy eating behaviors for healthier tomorrows.
