Another clean sweep for Lamar Orchestra! The Full Symphony earned ones from every judge this afternoon in both performance and sight reading. This orchestra is made up of the Lamar Symphony musicians together with the best musicians from the Lamar Viking Band. VFND!!!! What a wonderful UIL week by all Lamar Orchestras!

(You may notice that some of the students who had long hair for their morning performance now have short hair. These students are industrious on their lunch break.)

The Lamar Orchestras are having a spectacular week of UIL. Lots of ones (highest rating) flying everywhere! Here is the Lamar Symphony Orchestra, our varsity orchestra, after their sweepstakes UIL performance this morning, receiving ones from all judges in both stage performance and sight reading. These musicians and conductors (Andrew Walton and Jessica Winters) make the Lamar community proud!

The Lamar Orchestras are doing a fundraiser to support our student musicians. Donations help us pay for student lesson scholarships. instrument supplies, and travel expenses. Help us out by donating or sharing the link. All donations full go to support Lamar Orchestra.

Fantastic holiday concert last night by the combined Lamar High School Choir, Arlington, TX, Lamar Viking Band, and the Lamar Viking Orchestra. It is a wonderful yearly tradition. As Principal Maroney said, this concert feels like coming home. Thank you to our wonderful fine arts staff and talented student musicians for a spectacular concert.
