Thank you to Arlington voters for your support and the opportunity to serve another three years on the School Committee.

While my race was uncontested, I don’t take your support or this responsibility for granted. Thank you as well to everyone who supported the Yes for Arlington override - this will make a real difference in our ability to support students and educators. We have important work ahead, and I’m committed to building on the progress we’ve made - especially in strengthening belonging, advancing equity, and improving communication across our schools and community.

I also want to warmly welcome our newest School Committee member, Crystal Haynes Copithorne to this work. I’m looking forward to working together, learning from her perspective, and getting to know her in this role.

Great turnout at Shaun Berry's kickoff at Donut Villa Arlington. It was wonderful to see so many people there and connect with neighbors about our schools and community.

Shaun will be ready to hit the ground running on the School Committee. It’s a role with a steep learning curve, but between her experience as a classroom teacher, her service in Town Meeting, and her deep involvement in APS working groups, she already understands both how our schools operate and how town decisions affect them.
If you haven’t met Shaun yet, I hope you will — Arlington would be lucky to have her on the School Committee.
