State Cross Country Information:
* Saturday, November 1st - 2:00/2:45
* Location: Lakeside Municipal Golf Course, Fort Dodge
* If you are going, the 4A crowd may be exiting the race area from the morning session - their awards are at 12:00.

Class 1A Girls Race: 2:00
* Carley and Lauren will be in Box #12.
* Individual Preview: Lauren is currently ranked #5 in the state and looking to improve on her 6th and 7th place finishes from the last 2 years. Carley's times currently project her in the mid-40's for places (out of around 150 runners). Lili Denton, the returning State Champ from St. Alberts is the overwhelming favorite.
* Team Preview: South Winn and Sumner Fredericksburg are the favorites in the team battle,

Class 1A Boys Race: 2:45
* Jagger and Caleb will be in Box #1
* Individual Preview: Both boys' times project them in the mid to upper 70's for places (out of around 150 runners). Top ranked, Hayden Thompson from Lake Mills is the top returner, but there could be a heated race for the top 5-6 places.
* Team Preview: Top ranked Oakland Riverside is looking to take the team title, but returning State Champions, Lake Mills return 5 of their top 6 from last year and will be looking to repeat.

The 2025 state championship meet will be held at the Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge. The course is located north of Fort Dodge on Highway P59, approximately two miles north of the Fort Dodge airport and Harlan Rogers Park. Admission will be $10, plus a $3 parking fee.

CONGRATULATIONS TO LAUREN, CARLEY, JAGGER, AND CALEB!!
All four earned individual qualifications for the State Cross Country Meet.

Results of the 18-team SQM today:
Girls - Placed 4th overall: Lauren won with a time of 18:47, Carley placed 9th in 20:51. Abbigail was 22nd with a PR time of 22:12, while Lexi and Memphis raced in 39th and 41st in 23:48 and 24:07.

Boys - Placed 3rd overall: Jagger and Caleb placed 7th and 9th in 17:47 and 17:51. Ben was 15th in 18:13 while Carson was 24th in 19:10. Maison placed 29th in 19:25. Noah and Lincoln both had season best times of 20:09 and 20:33 for 40th and 43rd place.

I am extremely proud of this team and how they have performed both tonight and throughout the season! I'll get more information out later about the Class 1A races next week, November 1st.

CLASS 1A STATE QUALIFYING MEET
Tomorrow (Thursday): 4:00 Girls Race, 4:40 Boys Race
Location: Starmont Campus
Admission: $5 parking (or $5/person if you don't use our parking lots).

Top 2 Teams Qualify for the State Meet, Top 10 Individuals are guaranteed a spot - 5 individuals from non-qualifying teams per SQM site will also advance.

RACING FOR SWC:
GIRLS: Lauren Krogmann, Carley Rosburg, Abbigail Brown, Memphis Knox, Lexi Popham
BOYS: Jagger Timmerman, Carson Curtis, Ben Gelner, Caleb Pinion, Maison Swales, Noah Gelner, Lincoln Sieck.

Come early, grab a bite to eat from our wonderful concession stand, and get ready for two fast-paced races hosted by the SWC CC Team!

State Qualifying Assignments are out:

Results from todays Tri-Rivers Conference CC Championships:

JH Girls: Team placed 4th overall, with Lillian, Katelyn, and Ariella all running personal best times.
Lillian placed 10th overall earning a TRC Ribbon.

JH Boys: Team placed 5th overall, with all 4 running PR times (Griffin, Finn, Wyatt, and Quinn.)
Griffin was the overall champion with a time of 11:13 on the 2-mile course.

HS Girls: Team placed 2nd overall, with Carley, Abbigail, Memphis, and Lexi all running season best times.
Lauren was the overall champion with a time of 18:41.9 on the 5k course. Carley and Abbigail also earned All-Conference honors placing 4th and 13th.

HS Boys: Team placed 2nd overall, with Carson, Ben, Caleb P, Maison, Clint, and Brayden all running season best times.
Jagger (6th), Carson (7th), Ben (9th), and Caleb P (15th) earned All-Conference Honors.

We had a great meet this afternoon. Several runners ran their last race of the season, but we do have 3 more races left. Some of the JH will travel to Ankeny on Saturday to run at the State-Wide JH meet. Next Thursday, the Varsity Teams will race at the State Qualifying Meet hosted at Starmont (we'll find out the teams coming tomorrow around noon) - the runners will be vying for both team and individual spots at the State Meet on November 1st.
