We act like everything depends on us.

But God’s response to Job was simple:
“Are YOU the one running the universe?”

No.

He’s in charge.
He always has been.
And He doesn’t need our panic to accomplish His will.

There’s a lot more to this conversation than just “stop whining.”

We don’t know them all, but we owe them all.

Today we remember the men and women who gave their lives so we could live in freedom. Their sacrifice is the reason we have the ability to gather with our families, worship openly, speak freely about Jesus, and live without fear.

Freedom is something we can easily take for granted, but today we stop and remember that it came at a cost.

We’re incredibly grateful for those who were willing to lay down their lives for others. And as we honor them today, we also pray for the families carrying the weight of that sacrifice every single day.

Thank you will never feel like enough, but today we remember, we honor, and we give thanks.

Is your struggle becoming your identity? In this segment from our study on Job, we look at how the enemy uses our pain to turn our focus inward—because when we look inward, he starts to win.

Stop identifying with the battle and start identifying with the One who already won it.

When I was younger, I didn’t fully understand why martial arts stood out to me so much.

I just knew I admired people who were disciplined. Confident. Respectful. Strong without needing to prove it.

The older I get, the more I realize that’s what Invictus is really about.

Not creating perfect fighters.
Creating stronger people.

People who carry themselves differently. Kids who learn confidence and self-control. Adults who discover they are capable of more than they thought. Families who grow together through challenge, discipline, and encouragement.

That transformation doesn’t happen overnight. It happens one class at a time. One hard moment pushed through. One small victory stacked on top of another.

Martial arts has a way of showing people what they’re made of.

That’s why this work matters to us. Not because of trophies or belts, but because of who people become in the process.

What originally drew you to martial arts?

The enemy has been using the same two plays since the beginning of time. If you know his strategy, you can win the fight.

In this breakdown, we reveal the predictable tactics used to question God’s Word and spark pride. Don't be caught off guar. Know the Word and stay Unconquerable.

Ever wonder how some kids and adults seem so confident, disciplined, and calm under pressure?

It’s not something people are just born with. Those qualities are built little by little through consistent habits, challenges, and support.

Whether someone is brand new to martial arts or has been training for years, here are a few surprisingly simple ways to grow confidence both on and off the mat:
✅ Show up consistently, even on the hard days
✅ Practice the basics over and over
✅ Step outside your comfort zone regularly
✅ Learn from mistakes instead of being embarrassed by them
✅ Surround yourself with positive people who push you to improve
✅ Focus on progress, not perfection

Confidence doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built one class, one challenge, and one small win at a time.

That’s one of the things we love most about martial arts. The growth carries far beyond the mat.

One of the first questions families ask us is simple:
“How much does it cost to join?”

And honestly, we understand why. Martial arts training can be expensive, especially for families already trying to stretch every dollar.

That’s why our answer matters so much:
Our classes are completely free for students and families.
✅No monthly tuition.
✅No enrollment fees.
✅No hidden costs.

Because of the generosity of our donors and supporters, students are able to train, grow in confidence, build discipline, and be part of a strong community regardless of their financial situation.

Every class, every white belt earned, every board broken, and every life impacted is possible because someone chose to give.

If you believe every child and adult should have access to opportunities like this, we’d love for you to partner with us.

Your support helps keep these doors open.

The enemy doesn't always use a bold lie. Sometimes, he uses a half-truth to get into your head.

In this clip from our "Psychology of the Fight" series, we break down how the serpent weaves just enough truth into a lie to make it believable. If you don't know the Word for yourself, how will you spot the twist?

It’s a marathon, not a sprint

Finding real community is like that too.

Everybody wants deep connection, real friendships, people who truly show up for each other… but that stuff usually doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time. Consistency. Showing up even when life gets busy.

The longer we do this, the more we realize meaningful community is built slowly. Through conversations, shared struggles, prayers, laughs, random check-ins, and just doing life together over time.

That’s honestly one of the things we care about most at Invictus. We want this to be a place where people can find real community, feel known, and know they don’t have to do life alone.

Anybody else been thinking about that lately?
