Rule nº1 of Fight Club:
Do not talk about Fight Club.
Rule n° 2?
Maybe we should..
What lengths would you go to protect someone you love?
We all inherited the wild.
It’s encrypted in our DNA🧬 you cannot erase it. We all, animals of every species will tap into our most primitive instincts if we feel the safety of whom we care about is in danger. If our boundaries are violated, if our trust is broken. Primitive feelings of fear, protection, fierceness, rage, they all come to surface in a very raw untamed form. What we should talk more about is how beautiful and plastic this moment is.
The majority of us feels a rush. Some freeze up. The vision and ability to think clearly blurs, gets cloudy. This is one way of describing a trauma being born.
Not only physical trauma needs healing.
Untreated psychological trauma also leaves us wounded oftentimes for way too long.
Our neurons fire in trauma and wire together. A new pattern is borne.
The good news:
We all have the natural ability and resources for neuroplasticity. The ability of neural networks in the brain to change through growth and reorganization.
How you process trauma will become the blueprint of how you are most likely to respond to things and events that trigger you. You may not even be aware of it, and just like that you are vacuumed into this loop of hell.
The safest escape from all this in modern society is shown in forms of “I can’t do this anymore”. You then turn your back, leaving whatever caused you that trauma to resurface behind, or maybe you stick with it (whatever it is) and live a codependent relationship with your trauma, it’s patterns even its source. You go on with your life and the event becomes a mere “Remember that time when…. Ooh I’m so glad it’s not my problem anymore!”, or worse. You don’t even talk about it.
Until life happens, again. And surely it does to and for all of us. A new subject, an old untreated wound, same old patterns.
Awareness is the first step that will catapult you into healing and clearing the clouds in the sky of your consciousness.
Those feelings of fury, abandonment, neglect, broken trust, crossed boundaries, indignation, shame, fear, powerlessness, all will pay us an occasional visit from time to time.
How many of these feelings have become your blueprint?
Be aware. Feel it in your body. Understand the pattern. Purge. Reconnect with yourself and the world that surrounds you. Continue on. Repeat as needed.
If a trauma is related to an experience with your dog this approach is extremely applicable. Remember. Neurons that fire together wire together. This is for the good and the bad experiences we live. What kind of messages are you wiring in your relationship with yourself and your animals?
Purge & reconnect.
Good risings 💚🐛🦋🌎
