Anxiety isn’t your enemy. 💜

Sometimes, anxiety is your mind and body trying to protect you, even when there isn’t an immediate danger. Instead of fighting it or judging yourself for feeling anxious, try meeting yourself with a little more compassion.

✨ Slow your breathing
✨ Practice grounding exercises
✨ Move your body regularly
✨ Prioritize healthy sleep
✨ Talk with someone you trust

You don’t have to make anxiety disappear to learn how to navigate it. Small steps, practiced consistently, can help you feel more grounded and supported.

You are not your anxiety, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. 💜

📣 Calling all parents! 📣
Is it DEFIANCE or AVOIDANCE?

When your child refuses to start homework, shuts down when you bring up school, or suddenly avoids activities they once enjoyed, it can be frustrating. But sometimes, avoidance is a child’s way of communicating that something feels too hard, uncomfortable, or overwhelming.

Instead of asking, “Why won’t they just do it?” try getting curious: “What might be making this feel hard for them?”

Once we can uncover the “why” of what they are doing, it’s a lot easier to help them navigate what’s making them frustrated.

Sometimes we avoid the very things that make us anxious because, in the moment, avoidance feels like relief.

But here’s the catch: avoidance can teach our brain that the thing we’re afraid of really is dangerous. So the more we avoid, the stronger the anxiety can become.

Breaking the cycle doesn’t mean forcing yourself into uncomfortable situations all at once. It can mean taking small, manageable steps toward what you’ve been avoiding—and teaching your brain, “I can handle this.” 🤍

What’s something you’ve been avoiding because of anxiety? Maybe it’s worth getting curious about. 🧠✨
