Join us in welcoming Officer Struga as our new SRO!

Please join us in welcoming Officer Kasia Struga of the Wheeling Police and Fire Departments as the new school resource officer for the London strand! 👋

Struga will work with students, staff and families at London, Field, Riley and Tarkington throughout the 2026-27 school year, with a focus on building relationships, being a positive presence and supporting students throughout their school experience. Most importantly, she'll also continue serving as a handler for Buddy, the Wheeling Police Department’s therapy and community engagement dog!

We also want to thank Officer Czapla for his service to the London strand. While he’s moving into a new role as one of the SROs at Wheeling High School, we’re glad he’ll still be around our community and look forward to seeing him from time to time!

There are many ways to celebrate the end of a successful school year, but few are as memorable as Riley Elementary School's annual Pie the Teacher event!

Select students from each grade level earned the opportunity to pie one of Riley's brave staff members, along with several special guests who joined in the fun (including a grateful Mr. Juan after several chants from students). The tradition was a fitting way to recognize students' hard work and bring the Riley community together before summer break.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this end-of-year celebration such a sweet success!

Field Day fun!

Our Rams spent yesterday enjoying a day full of games, teamwork, laughter, and end-of-year memories with classmates and staff. It was the perfect way to celebrate an amazing school year!

A day in our front office looked a little different yesterday!

First grader Everett B. and third grader Avery G. stepped into leadership roles as principal and secretary for (half) a day, helping Mrs. Bellini, Ms. Oda and Ms. Belmonte with everything from morning announcements and hallway walkthroughs to handing out RAMp Bucks and assisting with front office responsibilities throughout the day.

The experience wrapped up with a special lunch celebration, where Everett and Avery each invited a friend to join them. Thank you to our student leaders for helping keep Riley running smoothly for the day!

The Riley Golf Club teed up an unforgettable experience on Sunday during a special clinic at the Chicago School of Golf in Buffalo Grove!

Students had a blast testing out the golf simulators, sharpening their skills and learning from a professional golf coach. A huge thank-you to the Chicago School of Golf for welcoming our students, sharing their expertise and creating such a fun learning experience. We learned so much and had an amazing time!

Talk about arriving to school in style!

Riley students Everett B. and Teddy P. got a very special ride to school this morning aboard a Village of Arlington Heights Fire Department fire truck — complete with flashing lights, big smiles and an unforgettable start to the day.

A huge thank-you to the Arlington Heights firefighters for helping create such an exciting memory for our Rams!

Today marks M Day in our ABC Countdown, and the halls were full of color, culture and celebration as students and staff dressed in multicultural attire!

It has been a joyful day highlighting the many backgrounds that make the Riley community so special.

A great reminder that our differences are something to celebrate every day!

The Supporting People in Need Club at Riley Elementary School made a powerful impact earlier this month!

With around 65 volunteers from across the school, the group came together at Feed My Starving Children to help fight hunger worldwide. Their hard work paid off in a big way – packing an incredible 52 boxes filled with 11,232 meals!

That's enough to provide 31 children with a daily meal for an entire year.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and made a difference – this is what community in action looks like!
