Trick for the day:
Silent “e” or Bossy “e” (as I like to tell my students) makes the vowel say it’s own name! For example: kite-the bossy “e” makes the vowel (in this case “i”) say it’s own name.

As of June 8th, we’re back doing face to face tutoring. With or without a mask😷 (whatever you prefer!) Zoom tutoring is still available as well. Looking forward to seeing the children’s adorable faces again!

What do fluent readers do?? They try their best to read the words correctly, they read smoothly (not like a 🤖), they pay attention to how fast/slow their reading (pace), they change their voice to match the punctuation, and most importantly, they check for understanding!!
