令和5年3月14日(火)イリノイ州アーリントンハイツは快晴。修了式と離任式を行いました。小学部1年～5年，中学部1・2年の代表に修了証を手渡しました。ミターケの会で転出児童生徒の前途を祝した後、離任式を行いました。文科省派遣教員５名と音楽専科ノーラン先生が帰任・離任しました。私自身も任期を終え帰任となります。３年間大変お世話になりました。
March 14, 2020 (Tuesday) Arlington Heights, Illinois is sunny. We held a graduation ceremony and a leaving ceremony. A certificate of completion was handed over to representatives of the 1st to 5th grade elementary school and 1st and 2nd grade junior high school students. After congratulating the students who moved out at the Mitake meeting, a farewell ceremony was held. Five faculty members dispatched by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and Professor Nolan of the Specialized Music Course have returned or left their posts. I myself will return to my post after my term is over. Thank you very much for your hard work for 3 years.

令和5年3月13日（月）雪が時おり舞う中、田島浩志シカゴ日本国総領事様をはじめご来賓をお招きし、小学部第45回・中学部第43回の卒業式を挙行しました。小学部11名・中学部6名の児童・生徒が学び舎を巣立っていきました。卒業生のみなさま、おめでとうございます。On March 13, 2023 (Monday), the 45th elementary school and 43rd junior high school graduation ceremonies were held with guests including Mr. Hiroshi Tajima, Consul General of Japan in Chicago. bottom. 11 elementary school students and 6 junior high school students graduated from school. 小学部４年生は、フィールドトリップ（校外学習）でプルマン歴史地区（Pulluman National Monument）を訪れました。ここは100数十年前、寝台列車を製造していた産業都市です。労使紛争の歴史、当時の街並みなどを保全しています。子どもたちは，レンジャーさんの話に耳を傾け、質問をたくさんしていました。Fourth graders took a field trip to the Pullman National Monument. Over 100 years ago, this was an industrial city that produced sleeper trains. The history of labor-management disputes and the streets of those days are preserved. The children listened to Mr. Ranger and asked many questions.

中学部全員で職場見学を行いました。午前中はGoettsch Pertners,Inc建築設計事務所です。シカゴ美術館の前、シカゴシンフォニーの隣にある、ミース・ファン・デル・ローエ所縁の事務所です。珊瑚さん（珊瑚先生の旦那様）に説明をしていただきました。午後はバーンズ&ソーンバーグ法律事務所へ行き、山本弁護士（双葉会会長）、田中弁護士、前田弁護士にお話をお聞きしました。またとない体験になったと思います。
All junior high school students visited the workplace. Goettsch Pertners, Inc architectural design office in the morning. This is the office associated with Mies van der Rohe, located in front of the Art Institute of Chicago, next to the Chicago Symphony. Sango-san (sango-sensei's husband) gave us an explanation. In the afternoon, I visited Burns & Thornburg Law Office and interviewed Attorney Yamamoto (Chairman of Futabakai), Attorney Tanaka, and Attorney Maeda. I think it was a unique experience for her.

令和４年度、双葉フェスティバル『努力の力は宝物～一致団結！舞台で輝け双葉っ子！』本年度は３年ぶりに、全員が体育館に集まり、子どもたちの演技や学習成果の発表を観ていただくことができました。ありがとうございました。In the 4th year of Reiwa, the Futaba Festival “The power of effort is a treasure-unity! Shine on the stage, Futaba! This year, for the first time in three years, all the students gathered in the gymnasium and were able to watch the children's performances and presentations of their learning achievements. Thank you very much.

小学部6年生修学旅行隊3日目。3日とも、絶好の日和となりました。先ほど全日程をつつがなく終え解散しました。一生の素敵な思い出となってくれたらと思います。

令和４年９月１日（木）本校４４周年の創立記念日。全校集会に小中学部全員が体育館に集合しました。屋内に全員が集まるのは、コロナ後初めてです。September 1, 2022 (Thursday), the 44th anniversary of our school. All the elementary and junior high school students gathered in the gymnasium for the whole school assembly. It's the first time since Corona that everyone will get together.
そうそう、全校集会で歌う全校児童生徒による校歌は感動でした。Oh yeah, I was moved by the school song sung by all the students at the whole school assembly.
