That's a wrap on L.A.H-lapalooza 2026! 5 days of action to get seniors rolling on their Life After Hersey plans! We ended on Day 5 with a final "Elevating the Activities Section" workshop before school and "Common App Workshops" during lunch.

Check the schedule (see link in comments), RSVP in SchooLinks, pick up a purple pass to be signed in advance if necessary, and come get great info right from the person that may be reviewing your application!

We had a busy day before and after school with a Common App workshop in the morning and Elevating Your Activities Section in the afternoon.

In-between counselors finished the last 4 blocks of Senior presentations!

Counselors completed Day 1 of our Senior Counseling presentation. After hearing from Mr. Chiakulas in the Theater during English and setting up their CollegeApplication Manager in SchooLinks, seniors broke off into rooms with their counselor for some more info and chance to ask questions about their life after Hersey plans.

TONIGHT!

Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2027! You're invited to come out to the JHHS Theater on Monday, August 24th at 7pm for "Senior Parent College Info Night!"

We'll talk about a timeline for this year, upcoming events, and resources to help you help your senior through the college application process.

This event is for Hersey parents only (no students or outside guests, sorry!). We hope to record if technology cooperates, but in-person attendance is highly recommended!

The first cohort of College Now is underway! Students from District 214, 211, and 220 are all participating.

This program allows a students to compete an Associates's Degree at Harper at the same time you earn your high school diploma. Therefore, your junior and senior years of high school will look quite different!
