Ok folks we still have 9 tickets available for our annual poetry recital this friday. Not only do you get a wonderful evening of entertainment, but we also provide a meal as well. Our baked potato bar is second to none, and I promise you will not leave hungry. If that isn’t enough to peak your interest, then how about our raffle items? We are raffling off a super cool Ta**us Judge revolver, a couple very high quality, hand crafted corn hole sets, a smoked cheese basket, and various other prize baskets to raffle off as well. So come on out to support a worthy cause and have some fun while you are at it.

Come on out to Travers Furniture this morning and support a worthy cause. We have homemade baked goods that are available for a monetary donation of any amount. We also have Clay’s Smokehouse smoked cheese and pretzels for sale as well. So come on out!!!

We are having a bake sale downtown tomorrow with merchants in motion. With the weather predicted to be bad, we have been moved into Travers furniture from 10-3, Saturday, November 29! We appreciate Travers being willing to host us. Please come out and support our school!

What a fantastic afternoon of learning! We had a Native American heritage afternoon. Mrs Cordelia Clap came and spoke of her Pawnee heritage, boarding schools, and signed for us. Her lesson was very insightful and inspirational! Mr Josh Cook spoke of his Shawnee heritage and explained about the significance of names in their heritage, as well as showing some interesting things and attempting to teach us how to walk quietly in the woods! Then Mrs Trinette McCarty spoke to us of her Cherokee heritage and hardships faced by her mother and others in regard to prejudism. We also had Miss Eden make fry bread with us from a recipe her aunt taught her. It was truly a fantastic afternoon! Thank you to all who participated!!!

Arkansas City and nearby residents: we need your new or gently used children’s books!!!! We are planning to redistribute these at the Arkalalah big parade to go along with our float’s theme, so they will go directly back to this community. We believe in the need for books to be in the hands of children!!!! Help us with this project by donating your new or gently used books to our school! You can pm me, Lenell Puchalla, if you need these picked up, or you can drop them off at our location where we have a large tote with a lid right outside our fence at 31729 61st road.
