Meet Kieran Malmer!

Kieran is a freshman vocal education major that also plays horn. Originally from Little Elm, TX, Kieran stays very busy at OBU performing with the Symphonic Band, Ouachita Singers, Concert Choir and Opera. She also has a great love for animals and makes an effort to visit the humane society here in Arkadelphia regularly. Kieran says what she enjoys most about OBU is "the people in my theory and aural skills classes. They are hilarious!"

Meet Mac Ricks!

Mac is a Freshman BFA Musical Theatre Major from Carlisle, AR. Here at OBU, Mac keeps busy performing with the Ouachita Singers, Wind Ensemble, Opera, and Color guard. He has been a part of several theatre productions including Pinafore, Tanglewood, Godspell, and his most notable role as Stuart Lasker in Into the Breeches. Mac’s favorite thing about OBU “is the sense of community among students and faculty.”

Feature Friday: meet Andrew Martin!

Andrew is a freshman business major and music minor. He plays both horn and trumpet here at OBU and participates in the marching and jazz bands! In high school, Andrew participated in TMEA All-Region Band, Jazz Band, and advanced to area for choir. Outside of music, Andrew enjoys powerlifting. His favorite thing about OBU is "the sense of community."

Feature Friday: Meet Jacob Cates!

Jacob is a senior Christian Studies and Spanish double major. He has played horn with OBU Marching Band, Symphonic Band, and has sung with the Ouachita Singers and Concert Choir He is a Campus Ministry Leader and helps with Refuge here at OBU! This past summer, he put his Spanish Major to use while teaching English in Mexico. Jacob's favorite thing about OBU is "how close-knit the faculty, staff and students are."
