Meet Mr. Cooper, one of our instructors at Note Culture Music School! 🎵
Cooper’s musical journey began at the age of 15, when he started learning how to play the guitar. He was initially self-taught, but accelerated his playing and understanding of music while attending SFA. Cooper gravitated towards the recording arts, eventually receiving a bachelor’s degree in Music, focus in Sound Recording Technology. He has worked on professional records and still practices music production.
What is your favorite thing about teaching?
“My favorite things about teaching is sharing my passion for music with students and watching them progress with their instruments!”
What advice do you have for students and young musicians?
“Advice I would give to young musicians is to have fun while learning music and do something musical everyday!”
What’s a fun fact about you that we should know?
“An interesting fact about me you should know is I’m very adventurous! I have lived in a couple of different states and love being outdoors!”

Meet Miss Val, one of our wonderful instructors at Note Culture Music School! 🎵
Valeria is a student at the University of North Texas and is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education with a concentration in violin. Valeria grew up in San Antonio, Texas and has spent 11 years playing violin. She also has an extensive background in vocal studies and musical theater. She’s a very talented multi-instrumentalist. As a music educator, Valeria hopes to give her students a deeper understanding of their musical potential and encourage a love and passion for the arts. During her free time Valeria likes to paint and decorate her room with plants, flowers and lots of pictures of her family and friends.
What’s your favorite thing about teaching?
“My favorite thing about teaching being able to help my students learn new songs they’ve always wanted to play.”
What advice do you have for students and young musicians?
“Make music a part of your daily life! Whether it’s playing an instrument or listening your favorite songs.”
What’s a fun fact about you we should know?
“I love collecting Pokemon cards and I love giving them to my students as well!”

What do you love about music?
“I love playing piano, having fun and learning new songs. I also love meeting up with my teacher every week!”
What do you love about lessons at Note Culture?
“The teachers are really nice, encouraging and motivating. They also have a lot of students!”
What was a memorable musical moment for you?
“Meeting Miss McCaa, my piano teacher, and playing onstage for the first time at the recital. It was crazy and I loved being in the spotlight! It was so fun to play my song in front of a bunch of people.”
