Meet Miss Anna, one of our fantastic instructors at Note Culture! đŸ„

Miss Anna is from Houston, Texas, and after making the move to the Dallas area, she earned a Music Education degree from the University of North Texas as a percussionist. She has experience performing with many classical, chamber and multi-cultural ensembles. Anna is currently the Assistant Percussion Director at Sherman ISD where she works with the percussion students in grades 6–12. Anna strives to cultivate a positive and creative learning environment that allows students to reach their full potential. In her free time, Anna loves to spend time with friends and family, make bracelets, read a good book and spend time with her guinea pigs, Ralphie and Randy!

What’s your favorite thing about teaching?
“My favorite thing about teaching is watching my students come out of their shells and discover their love for music!”

What advice do you have for students and young musicians?
“The best advice I have for young musicians is to remember that learning music is like learning a new language. Be patient with yourself and remember to enjoy practicing!”

What’s a fun fact about you that we should know?
“My fun fact is that I have 4 dogs that live in Houston and 2 guinea pigs that live with me!”

Meet Mr. Cooper, one of our instructors at Note Culture Music School! đŸŽ”

Cooper’s musical journey began at the age of 15, when he started learning how to play the guitar. He was initially self-taught, but accelerated his playing and understanding of music while attending SFA. Cooper gravitated towards the recording arts, eventually receiving a bachelor’s degree in Music, focus in Sound Recording Technology. He has worked on professional records and still practices music production.

What is your favorite thing about teaching?
“My favorite things about teaching is sharing my passion for music with students and watching them progress with their instruments!”

What advice do you have for students and young musicians?
“Advice I would give to young musicians is to have fun while learning music and do something musical everyday!”

What’s a fun fact about you that we should know?
“An interesting fact about me you should know is I’m very adventurous! I have lived in a couple of different states and love being outdoors!”
