Team AlphaFlo® is heading to Charlotte, North Carolina next week for the ACVS Surgery Summit, running October 7 through 10. This crowd, board certified surgeons and specialty practitioners, gathers every year to compare emerging regenerative options for their most complex orthopedic cases, one of the reasons our clinical team looks forward to this particular summit.

Fetch Kansas City brought our AlphaFlo® team out in full force this month. Mark Besancon, DVM, Alli Winn, and Ginger Johnson spent the weekend at the booth talking with veterinarians about what a ready to use canine amniotic tissue allograft can add to a practice, without the harvest step or culturing wait that autologous options require.

It was a great show for conversations like these, another reminder of how much interest continues to grow around regenerative options in general practice and specialty medicine alike.

Long before she was diagnosing patients in Charlotte, Haley McCarthy, DVM, was growing up along the Gulf Coast in the Tampa Bay area, already drawn to animals and the outdoors. She studied Biology with an emphasis in Environmental Studies at the University of Central Florida, then added a Certificate in Veterinary Forensic Science from the University of Florida before ever stepping into vet school.

Two years working emergency clinics in Central Florida confirmed the path, and she headed to Tucson to join the inaugural class at the University of Arizona for her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. From there she built her emergency medicine skills in Oregon, managing critical cases and urgent care, before eventually making her way back east to be closer to family, three dogs, Maverick, Wrigley, and Swimmy, along for the move.

Ultrasonography, surgery, emergency care, nutrition, and cardiology round out her clinical interests today, and outside the clinic she is usually painting, reading fantasy novels, paddleboarding, or hiking. Dr. McCarthy sees patients at Carmel Road Animal Hospital in Charlotte.

Honey's family started noticing small changes first: a little slower getting up, a little less interested in the yard. Age related spondylosis was making itself known the way it often does in senior dogs, gradually rather than all at once.

After trying a few different approaches, her veterinarian at Rose Rock Veterinary Hospital and Pet Resort made the call to add AlphaFlo® into her care plan. Some of the most useful feedback we get does not come from a marketing campaign. It comes from a veterinarian mentioning, almost offhand, that they are now reaching for AlphaFlo® in more of their orthopedic cases than they expected to.
