📢 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Step Up, Sign Up, & Make An Impact! 📢

The Argos Performing Arts Department is getting ready for a fantastic season, and we need our community to help these amazing students shine!

We are looking for friendly faces to volunteer for five upcoming events. If you have an hour or two to spare, please consider clicking the link to sign up for one (or more!) of these dates:

High school band students and parents,

Band camp begins on Monday August 3rd from 8am to 12pm. We will be doing activities to prepare for the upcoming marching season indoors and outside.

Students will need:
-Instrument
-Large Water Bottle
-Athletic Shoes
-Athletic Clothing

We will also have themed dress up days. Sections with the most participation will win a treat!

Monday: USA
Tuesday: Hawaiian
Wednesday: white lies
Thursday: neon
Friday: section colors (will assign)

🚂 The legendary Union Pacific Big Boy is coming through Argos on June 5th!

The Argos Band will be helping with parking for the event as a fundraiser to support new instruments for our program. We are excited for this unique community opportunity and appreciate everyone who volunteers to help make it successful!

Come see our outstanding young actors and actresses bring Oklahoma! to life! From high-energy dance numbers to toe-tappin’ tunes, this cast is ready to surrey with the fringe on top straight into your hearts. 💛

Many hours of hard work, rehearsal, and dedication have gone into making this production something truly special—and we cain’t say no to sharing it with you!

Meet Emily, who will be playing Laurey in Oklahoma!

Emily is a four-year veteran of our musical program and has brought many memorable characters to life on stage, including an Urchin in Little Shop of Horrors, Kelsey in High School Musical, and Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods.

This year, she takes on the leading role of Laurey, and we are so excited to see her growth and experience shine in this iconic part. Emily’s dedication and talent make her a perfect fit for this role, and we know she will give a beautiful performance!

Meet Jaxon, who will be playing Curly in Oklahoma!

Jaxon has been involved in the music department since middle school, and he has truly valued the experience. One of his favorite parts of being in the show has been strengthening his friendships with fellow cast members and working together to bring the production to life.

Hey everyone! Mark your calendars for some serious BBQ. 🍗🎭

Argos Performing Arts is hosting a Nelson’s Port-A-Pit fundraiser on Saturday, April 18th, and you definitely don't want to miss out. If you've had Nelson's before, you know the smell alone is going to take over the whole area starting at 10:00 AM!

Everything we raise goes straight back into our performing arts programs, so come grab a great meal and help our students out at the same time.

WHEN: Saturday, April 18th

TIME: 10:00 AM until we're sold out!

WHERE: Argos Community Schools

🍴 THE FOOD
Half-Chicken: $10 (Use your pre-sold tickets or just walk up and grab one!)

Pit-Tatoes: $5 (These are walk-up only, so make sure to get some on the side!)

Drinks: We’ll have cold drinks for sale the day of, too.

Meet June, who will be playing Ali Hakim in Oklahoma!

This is June's third year participating in musical, and as a senior, she has truly appreciated the program and the people it has brought her. One of her favorite parts of being in the show has been the relationships she has made through her involvement and the opportunity to perform a show with her peers. We are proud of June's continued dedication to the stage and look forward to her performance as Ali Hakim!
