Well, how can I not brag in this girl right here !! She’s been working SO HARD ! She always has a good attitude and a lot of great s***k. Today, for the first time ever she read 11 pages of a brand new-to-her book. We have a word list to work on, but she read it like she’d already seen it several times . Something clicked today !! I’m so proud of her and all of her tenacity !! Way to go Wren👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏!

Sometimes tutoring means homework and reading for the tutor instead of the student ! I’m always trying to find the best ways to help my students . Just as little light Saturday reading !

These packages contain all the work we do in most every session, but my heart contains all the smiles and expressions of each child as they learn how to read their first words ,
which turns to sentences , which turns into books ❤️

Proud of this girl right here ! This is truly her biggest word yet and she nailed it ! She has her ups and downs, her tough days where things just don’t go right and then days like this where she knocks it out of the park!! It’s been a slow but constant process and bit by bit things are starting to come together. She’s also a strong example of why struggling readers need more outside playtime and much less screen time !!
