Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Phi Lambda Chapter was chartered in Columbia, MD on March 1, 1975. The repast begins at 5:30 p.m.

The alumni chapter is a reaffirmation of early Alpha concepts that the common bond of Brotherhood extends beyond the college academic setting. The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Phi Lambda Chapter meets every second Saturday of each month. with refreshments and fellowship and the meeting begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Yesterday, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc was represented when Howard County D9’s showed up at Murray Hill Middle school for a “clap in celebration” closing out the first full week of classes. We want this to be “the best year ever” for students, families, teachers, and administrators. 🖤💛

Today, a few of our Brothers had the privilege of welcoming the young scholars of Thunder Hill Elementary School as they arrived for their first day of this academic school year! 🖤💛

We wish every student, teacher, administrator and family a productive and safe school year ahead.

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Phi Lambda Chapter, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Omega Eta Omega Chapter, teamed up for our annual Back to School Supply Drive, sending dozens of students at Bollman Bridge Elementary into the new school year fully stocked and ready to succeed.

This will be a great opportunity for fellowship, food, music, games, and fun. We will be accepting school supply donations to support students in our community. Any contribution is welcome and appreciated.

Collectively, members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Phi Lambda Chapter are proud to celebrate our chapter brother, Janssen Evelyn, on his primary win as the Democratic Nominee for Howard County Council, District 4!

Brother Evelyn has dedicated his career to public service, and this win reflects his hard work and commitment to the community.

As Brother Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said: “Everyone can be great, because everyone can serve.”

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Phi Lambda Chapter honored its Senior Brothers in style this Juneteenth. The chapter came together at P.F. Chang’s in the Columbia Mall to celebrate the brothers who paved the way for us all, with toasts, laughter, and good food, making for a beautiful afternoon of fellowship and brotherhood.

Thank you to our Senior Brothers for your many years of dedication and the foundation you laid for all of us. First of All, Servants of All, We Shall Transcend All.

This past weekend, the Alpha Foundation of Howard County, Inc., in partnership with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Phi Lambda Chapter, proudly celebrated the recipients of the Edward D. Young Scholarship Awards.

Named in honor of a beloved former Chapter President whose commitment to education, mentorship, and youth development continues to inspire us, these scholarships recognize outstanding young men who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership, service, and character.

Congratulations to this year’s recipients. We are proud to invest in the next generation of leaders and look forward to the positive impact they will make in their communities and beyond.

What an amazing day! ☀️💛🖤

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support our community car wash fundraiser. Whether you volunteered, donated, brought your vehicle through, or simply stopped by to show love, your support helped make this event a tremendous success.

Seeing brothers, families, friends, and community members come together with a shared purpose was truly inspiring. The fellowship, laughter, teamwork, and positive energy on display throughout the day are what make events like this so special.

We are grateful for every person who contributed their time, effort, and support. Thank you for showing up, showing out, and helping us make a meaningful impact.

Together, we continue to prove that service, brotherhood, and community matter. We appreciate you and look forward to seeing you at the next event!
