Literacy University Literacy University is an academic prep program that offers a variety of tutoring and college-prep classes: SAT prep, Scholarship Search, essay writing.

"We grow scholars here," (R. Slaughter) We are strongly committed to the literacy of all students K-12th grade. Literacy University (LU) is committed to promoting literacy. At LU, we teach solid study skills, sharpen reading comprehension, and prepare secondary students for college with pride. To promote learning through the summer, Literacy University offers a summer camp calle

d "The Salt and Light Learning Institute" (SALLI) for students 2nd-5th grades. During the summer, we nurture, tutor, and offer students learning through play. Help your child succeed in school with Literacy University. Literacy is the cornerstone of civilized existence, and our owner, Rachel Slaughter, has dedicated more than half her life to literacy instruction and passing the joy of reading on to others. We seek to enrich young people's lives by celebrating reading and writing, in the rewarding world of books. Your child will learn in a comfortable, non-threatening environment that is conducive to education.
