Here is the art piece I finished in worship yesterday. I started it the night before in intercession. I am praying into a few things… and this mixed media came out of it using an old hymn from “And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.”

I may do a series of pastels using more of these hymns.
The sheep are abiding with the Good Shepherd in the pasture, with their eyes fixed on Him. This is where He needs us to be. Humble, repentant, gathering together, gazing into His eyes of love and dependent on His every need. Just like in this scripture… right before the Angel of the Lord Appeared to them and God’s Glory shone around them announcing the Savior was born.
A sound from Heaven is coming. It will find us in this place.
