This week in Math we've solved the case of the missing gold medal using math skills to solve clues, kept a tally of medals earned by Team USA and other countries, and completed word problem task cards. In science we've learned about the science behind downhill skiing (speed, force, gravity, Newton's 2nd law, friction, surface area, wind/air resistance). With that information they learned, they built and tested their own downhill penny slope. We can't wait to see what next week holds for the winter Olympics and more STEM activities.

We had a fun day celebrating the end of ACAP testing. These kids have worked so hard. We played board games, had a picnic outside, and I provided a special snack. Next week is back to a normal routine and the countdown is on!
