Seeking Behavior Specialist Consultant (BSC) for early intervention program with children, birth to age 5, in Scranton, PA.
The Behavior Specialist Consultant (BSC) is responsible for providing direct and indirect behavioral intervention and consultation for consumers, family members, and other stakeholders. This position is responsible for guiding treatment by developing a treatment plan, monitoring progress on goals, intervening directly with a consumer, and developing programs, as appropriate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide assessment, program design, and monitoring of clients in the area of behavioral management. Develop treatment plans for the client.
• Review and train members of the treatment team on the implementation of the behavioral treatment plan.
• Participate in collaborative consultations including IEP meetings, psychological evaluations, and meetings with MH/IDD and medical, educational and therapeutic personnel.
• Complete and submit appropriate paperwork and documentation within the required timelines.
• Travel to and from clients’ home/school/community programs to perform duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Licensed psychologist, Master’s or Doctoral level, or Master’s level clinician with demonstrated training in behavioral intervention techniques.
• Minimum of one (1) year post-graduate, full-time experience providing clinically supervised treatment to children and adolescents.
• Valid PA Behavior Specialist License or other clinical licenses may be considered (e.g. Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, or Licensed Professional Counselor) if working with clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Training in and/or experience with ABA principles/programs, training in the CASSP principles, and/or BCBA preferred.
