Seeking Behavior Specialist Consultant (BSC) for early intervention program with children, birth to age 5, in Scranton, PA.

The Behavior Specialist Consultant (BSC) is responsible for providing direct and indirect behavioral intervention and consultation for consumers, family members, and other stakeholders. This position is responsible for guiding treatment by developing a treatment plan, monitoring progress on goals, intervening directly with a consumer, and developing programs, as appropriate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide assessment, program design, and monitoring of clients in the area of behavioral management. Develop treatment plans for the client.
• Review and train members of the treatment team on the implementation of the behavioral treatment plan.
• Participate in collaborative consultations including IEP meetings, psychological evaluations, and meetings with MH/IDD and medical, educational and therapeutic personnel.
• Complete and submit appropriate paperwork and documentation within the required timelines.
• Travel to and from clients’ home/school/community programs to perform duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Licensed psychologist, Master’s or Doctoral level, or Master’s level clinician with demonstrated training in behavioral intervention techniques.
• Minimum of one (1) year post-graduate, full-time experience providing clinically supervised treatment to children and adolescents.
• Valid PA Behavior Specialist License or other clinical licenses may be considered (e.g. Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, or Licensed Professional Counselor) if working with clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Training in and/or experience with ABA principles/programs, training in the CASSP principles, and/or BCBA preferred.

You’ll provide support to families of children birth to three years of age with disabilities or special developmental needs. You’ll help children build on their strengths as well as help to enhance and promote their growth, development and learning skills.

Physical therapy professionals provide care for children with physical function issues related to injuries or other conditions. Help to promote mobility and improve quality of life. Using clinical expertise, observe and evaluate children to diagnose specific developmental or physical delay. Create a plan of care to utilize techniques for mobility.

Early Intervention Physical Therapists are responsible for evaluations, assessments, and ongoing therapy for children birth to three years of age. In-home and clinical setting physical therapy experience preferred.

Seeking Bilingual ABA Behavior Specialists for early intervention services for children, birth to age 3, in Philadelphia. Duties include:

Identify child & family needs,
Conduct assessments,
Attend IFSP reviews,
Work with young children and families to implement behavioral programs for social interaction and coping skills.

As a Behavior Therapist, you will be responsible for working directly with children to promote appropriate language, social, play, and adaptive skills, as well as to decrease any maladaptive behaviors a child may be exhibiting. Behavior Therapists also work closely with families and caregivers to provide support and ensure generalization of skills learned within 1:1 teaching sessions. Job duties include implementing treatment programs developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, collecting program and behavior data, caregiver training, and participating in ongoing training opportunities.

How is applied behavior analysis used? Although it's most often used in reference to autism spectrum disorder, applied behavior analysis is actually used in many other situations. It is a type of therapy used to decrease inappropriate behavior and increase appropriate behavior.
