Hello Class of 83. Some sad news to share. Another one of our classmates, Scott Morrison, passed away a couple days ago. Please keep his wife, Tonya, and family in your thoughts and prayers. 🙏😔

Mark your calendars!! We will be having our 40th (unbelievable, I know!) class reunion Labor Day weekend…Saturday, September 2nd. It will be at the Blue Bell. Brian Lebon, a class member, is graciously letting us use the gorgeous addition at no cost to us! 😊 More information will be coming soon.

Hey everyone!! Hope all is well. As you know Stacey Arnold Kersey and I have coordinated the last 3 class reunions. And Carol Ann Beyers very generously helped us plan and coordinate our 35th!!! Couldn't have done it without her🙂

Our 40th class reunion will be coming up in 2023. Unfortunately at this time, with a lot of thought, Stacey and I are not able to plan and coordinate it. Both of us have had a lot of personal issues and are still dealing with a lot of stress in our lives at this time. Neither one of us have the energy to devote to another year of planning the next class reunion.

We will give all class materials and the savings account to the person or persons willing to take on this task. If you are interested, please private message myself or Stacey.
We ask for your understanding and kindness and thank you for the privilege of planning the class reunions.

Update on Pamela Logue. She is now home, as of Monday night! I saw her yesterday, and she looks great! I can't believe I can hop in my car and go see her anytime! She has 24 hour caregivers for now, she still can't walk but transfers well, feeding tube just as a back up in case she doesn't eat enough, her right arm is still flaccid, and her cognition and impulse control are still improving. We are hoping all of this will continue to improve since she is now home with people who love her! This has been a long 6 month road for her, her kids, her fiance', and the rest of our family. We have appreciated more than you know the outpouring of support including prayers, cards, gifts, notes, flowers, etc etc. She has so many people who love her! She does have more medical challenges coming up, but with all the support she has, she will do fantastic. We think it is best that she does not have visitors at this time (except close family) because too much excitement causes her stress and confusion (not to mention risk of COVID). However, I will give her address for anyone who wants to support her with cards, notes, etc. We will let people know when she can have visitors. Keep prayers/thoughts/positive energy coming for her! Thanks for everything!

From Debbie: Pamela Logue: Chuck and I drove her from Chicago to On With Life center in Iowa yesterday. It was difficult to find placement due to the restrictions put in place due to COVID19. This facility is also for rehabilitation, just not as fancy as the Chicago facility was. I hadn't seen her in a month due to COVID, and I was elated that I was going to see her for the 5 hour drive! She yelled my name and smiled very big when she was wheeled out of the hospital. Made my day! She still does not have movement of the right side. Her right leg moves a little, but it is very painful. Her right arm is lifeless, still. Her cognition had improved significantly from the last time I saw her! She was appropriate and was able to put together 6-8 word sentences! She can now swallow well enough so she can eat soft foods and drink thin fluids. I told her all about COVID and why we can't stay with her in Iowa, and she seemed to understand that. However, when we actually got there and I came up to say goodbye (we weren't allowed to step inside), she said "Are you really going to leave me here?" and was tearful. She said the same things to Chuck. Her short term memory is still not very good. We FaceTimed with all her kids, and she was elated to see them! Anyway, she will get even better in Iowa, and then I hope we will be able to take her home! We have no idea how long it will be, because insurance has all the control, apparently! I won't go there, but let's just say I am angry with insurance companies right now...She had three boxes of stuff she has accumulated, including cards! Hopefully she will have space to put them all up in her room.

If you want mail her anything, here is the address:

Thank you all for prayers, calls, texts, messages, cards, etc. From the bottom of my heart.

From Debbie: Update on my sister Pam. She is scheduled for discharge from SRAL on the 26th to another facility in Chicago. I hear she is making slow but steady progress. I haven't seen her since before I left for vacation. As everyone else knows by now, we can't see her due to this virus. The new place is also not accepting visitors. While I understand why we can't see her (I fully support this): I am so sad that she may or may not understand why we are not there with her. Anyway, I will update again with the address when she actually moves. Thanks to all of you for everything you have done for her, including all the prayers. I am praying for everyone who is in the same situation with their loved ones.
