The AJP Band has been recognized as a Program of Merit by the North Carolina Bandmasters Association! Way to go!

To qualify, the AJP Band had to participate in the state festival, put on at least 3 concerts for the year (festivals included), have an alternate program that performs (jazz band), be active in all-county and all-district events, perform for advocacy (Touring Tuesdays), and community performances (graduation ceremony at Rockers stadium). ⭐️🎶🎺

AJP Reminders from Principal Bradley!

Tuesday's Dress: Scholars should wear their First Day shirts with jeans. We want to see that Allen Jay Prep pride as we start the year together!

🤝 Wednesday, August 5 – Scholar Handshake Quiz
Throughout the day, Allen Jay Prep staff members will engage scholars and provide opportunities for them to practice and demonstrate a professional handshake and introduction.

Scholars should be prepared to:

*Make eye contact.
*Give a confident, professional handshake.
*Clearly introduce themselves.
*Speak with confidence and professionalism.

Parents and guardians, start practicing at home with your scholars! These skills will prepare our scholars for introductions, community events, leadership opportunities, and future networking experiences.

Beginning Wednesday, all scholars are expected to be in SMOD.

Integrity first. Service above self. Excellence in all we do.
Let's Run It Back, Allen Jay Prep!
