Valley View Middle School

On June 12th, Brooke Bachman, Jack Kelly, and Jocelyn Shepard competed in the Pennsylvania Civics Bee State Championships held at Penn State University. Brooke, Jack, and Jocelyn were each one of only 30 students that qualified to compete in the state championships. Congrats to each for a job well done!

End of the year schedule!

6th grade wrapped up their Tuck Everlasting novel study with a Literature Float Parade. Floats included a scene, symbol, or character from the novel. Also, students had to include a summary of the novel and text evidence to support what they chose to include on the float.

Our 6th and 7th grade students enjoyed some time outside the last two days for some FIELD DAY FUN! 😀

On May 27, three Valley View 7th and 8th grade Envirothon teams traveled to Lackawanna State Park to compete in the Northeast Regional Envirothon competition! 🌿🌎

The students represented Valley View with teamwork, determination, and an impressive knowledge of environmental science throughout the day’s events. A special congratulations goes out to the 7th Grade Blue Team for earning a prize in the Aquatics Division and placing 3rd overall in the competition! 🏆💧🥉

We are so proud of all of our students for their hard work, sportsmanship, and dedication to learning about our environment. Thank you to our advisors and families for supporting these students and helping make opportunities like this possible!
