Douglas Fir dispatch: I’m hosting the HAPA Radio Hour _TODAY_ Sunday 30 Nov at 1:30 pm. The show is titled “Beginnings’ Beginning” and I’ll have Peter Ryce (administrator for 40 years until he retired a couple of years ago) and Chestine Anderson (one of the first teachers at Skyfish School) as my guests. This will be the 3rd program dealing with seminal organizations or campaigns that began in 1974 (United Stand, Redwoods Rural Health Center were the others)

Archivist Avril Frasché (right) has just joined the HAPA board of directors after a year interning under mentor archivist Edie Butler (left) at one of HAPA's climate controlled storage units. Avril has been key to building our digital inventory and organizing some of the thousands of cubic feet of material. Welcome Avril!

Richard Jergenson and Ann Brigit Waters, longtime CHC affiliates, recently found this wonderful photo of vaudeville artist Tom Noddy in the book Inside a Hippie Commune. Tom was a featured presenter at our Magical History Tour during last year’s Oregon Country Fair—one of the weekend’s most memorable moments!

We’re looking forward to returning to Veneta, OR this July 11–13 for more exciting presentations by members of the Counterculture History Coalition. See you there!
