International Education Week is an annual event in February at Humboldt State University in Arcata, Calif. USA. This event features panel discussions on current events and globalization; workshops on studying, working and living abroad; presentations; food, fashion and fun from around the world.

Study Abroad Fair, Oct. 18. Learn about semester and full-year study abroad programs. Earn major, minor and GE credits while abroad. The fair will take place Wednesday, October 18, from 10am-2pm on the UC Quad (or University Center if it rains).

For those of you who did do a study abroad program this summer, tonight the Humboldt State University Center for International Programs is hosting, The Amazing Returnees’ Workshop.

When: Wed. Sept. 6th (TODAY) from 5:00 – 7:00
Where: Nelson Hall East 106

They will have pizza and drinks and lots of suggestions about what to do now that you’re back.

Meet people who want to hear your stories and see all your photos! Find out how to go abroad again, how to work/volunteer/intern abroad – and get the answer to the pressing question - what happens to my transcript/grades etc?

The Career Center will present information about beefing up your resume and how to get a job abroad and we will have lots of ideas about ways to get involved in international activities on campus.

HSU Global Ambassadors Fund for Study Abroad Announces Inaugural Winners Congratulations to Leticia Sanchez an International Studies major with a concentration in Global Culture and Karl Gareth Jones Oman, an Environmental Resources Major, who have both been selected to receive the Spring 2017 HSU Global Ambassadors Fund award.

The purpose of this award is to support full-time HSU students seeking to study abroad anywhere in the world for at least a semester and to cover costs not readily paid from other sources. For those aiming to study abroad in Spring 2018, details of the application process are available via the websites for International Studies or the Center for International Programs.

The next deadline will be: October 2, 2017.
