SCHOOL UPDATE:
As of Feb. 3rd 2021 Humboldt Educare continues it's search for a new location in the Arcata/McKinleyville area. We know how important quality preschool is. We're committed to securing a new spot and serving the community like we have for the last 41 years.

Continue to check in with us as your child care needs change and we move forward together as a community in opening schools safely.

On behalf of Humboldt Educate Preschool, we want to thank everyone who participated in the virtual 2020 Ugly Sweater Run!

Arcata Preschool. Our mission as a nonprofit preschool is to provide young children in Humboldt County with a play-based curriculum to promote kindergarten readiness in a nurturing, accessible, and safe school environment.

BOARD UPDATE (NEXT MEETING 10/14/20) :
Want to be part of something important? Now, more than ever, our Humboldt community needs high quality, reliable and affordable childcare.

We're searching for community members with a passion for serving the community's children and a flair for raising money and/or some extra time on their hands to help!

We meet virtually monthly. Our next meeting is Wednesday. Oct. 14th 2020.

Humboldt Educare will begin the process of 'hibernating' as a non-profit business while we continue to seek out a new location for a school and also address the financial aspects of opening during the pandemic.

We feel optimistic based on how well our community has responded to the pandemic and how low our numbers are!

Humboldt Educare has been going strong for over 40 years and will continue to do so! We look forward to opening our doors again!
