Youth Educational Services began in 1968 as a response to students' desire for active roles in initiating social change. YES provided opportunities for students to serve in programs where they took on management roles such as; decision-making, program development, volunteer supervision and evaluation. The name YES emerged from HSU students who wanted to create a place on campus where the premise c

ould be "YES we can." In the many years after its inception, successful community service programs and student accomplishments have proved that, YES, they could and, YES, they do!
