Last week we had a much needed break for Thanksgiving. Now we’re back and ready for more volunteer Friday’s before break!

This week we will be focusing on cleaning up the toolshed. We will be sharpening tools using our pedal power sharpener. We will also be weeding, and seed sorting. As well as offering tours!

We will be holding our weekly clothes swap, so stop by for some free clothes! 👗👕🩳And feel free to drop off any old clothes you have!

Are you graduating this semester?

Do you like to pursue sustainability in your daily actions? Do you like the act of thrifting? Do you like items you need at a price you can afford? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, you may be interested in renting a cap and/or gown from us this semester.

This semester, we are renting out caps for $5.00, and gowns for $20.00. We have gowns available for you to pick out and rent in a variety of sizes, available on a first-come-first-served basis. To rent a gown, simply come to the CCAT Classroom with a rough estimate on your height and measurements for the garb you need. Students can buy the gowns with cash, or by scanning a provided QR code and paying digitally. Students must provide their name, email, student ID, and phone number to CCAT in order to rent out a cap or gown.

There will be several dates for gown purchase and pickup:
Tuesday, December 6th, from 12-3pm.
Thursday, December 8th, from 2-5pm.
Friday, December 9th, from 9-3pm.

If none of these dates work for you, we encourage individuals to reach out to CCAT via our email, mailto: [email protected], or by Instagram. We may be able to coordinate with students for alternate gown pickup days with a heads up.

After Graduation, we are requesting students return their rented garb to CCAT by December 21st, one week after graduation.

Hey CCAT folks!

We’re hiring a new co-director!

Co-directors are responsible for maintaining CCAT's household and physical site, teaching CCAT courses, facilitating meetings with staff, the Steering Committee and the University. They also organize outreach and annual events, manage CCAT budget, staff, and courses involved with student projects at CCAT.

Co-directors serve one-year terms, beginning either in June or January, and live at the CCAT house. The job itself is full time, with some flexible hours, but it is recommended that only two to three academic courses are taken in conjunction with a co-directorship.

Requirements:
- Must be a student
- 2.5 GPA & up
- Must have at least one year left before graduation
- Availability of 20 hours or more

Looking for:
Strong leadership skills, conflict resolution, good teamwork, intelligent time management, flexibility, a desire to learn, an interest in appropriate technology and dedication are sought.

Looking for ambitious individuals who can bring new perspectives about environmentalism, climate change, social justice, food justice, being an example for the student body.

Come hang out Wednesday night for our first open mic night of the year!! From 6-7pm we’ll be downstairs in the classroom. Bring your own instruments, jokes, poems, or anything you want to share! You can also play our piano or bongos that are in the classroom.

Thank you to everyone who attended this years CCAT Haunted Garden Event!!!

Extra special thank you to all our amazing staff, interns, and volunteers that made this event possible.
As well as a thank you to for there generous pumpkin donation.

Last week with the help from our incredible volunteers we were able to make a few scare crows, put up a few portions of the maze, and decorate the grounds.

This week we will be focusing on weeding specific areas of CCAT. We will also be continuing Halloween preparations which includes making Halloween decor from up-cycled materials and we plan to continue painting tomb stones, mostly finish setting up Halloween decor and build a few other decorations for the event. As well as offering tours!

Last week with the help from our incredible volunteers we were able to plant almost all of our plant starts, as well as plant up some potatoes and other companion plants in the garden.

This week we will be focusing on weeding specific areas of CCAT. We will also be continuing Halloween preparations which includes making Halloween decor from up-cycled materials and we plan to continue painting tomb stones, start setting up Halloween decor and build other decor. As well as offering seed sorting, and tours!
