Introducing the new Writing Workshop starting this Friday! The RS Writing Workshop is an open area that allows peer-to-peer help with final papers. Along with being independent work time we offer help with research, editing, citation and any questions you may have. The Writing Workshop will be hosted on the third floor of the library every Friday till the end of the school year from 3-5pm - we hope you'll join us!

Our Spring Shabbaton is coming up on Friday, February 8 and Saturday, February 9!

Rabbi Naomi Steinberg will lead services on Friday evening and throughout the day on Saturday, with musical accompaniment from the Temple Beth El choir and teachings from members of our community on Saturday afternoon.

Everyone in our community is invited to any of the services or teachings on this full Shabbat weekend. We especially encourage families with children, including those in our Beit Limud program, to attend Rabbi Naomi's Shabbat service on Friday evening.

Friday, February 8
5 pm - Orientation for HSU students
5:30 pm - Family-friendly Kabbalat Shabbat and Ma'ariv Services, followed by potluck meal, songs & stories

Saturday, February 9
8:30 am - Torah Study
10:30 am - Shachrit (Morning) and Torah Service
Noon - Lunch followed by meditation walk in Sequoia Park
2 pm - Teaching
4 pm - Mincha (Afternoon) Service
4:30 pm - Chanting and Meditation
5:30 pm (approximate) - Shalosh Seudos - Third Meal of Shabbat, songs, stories
6:30 pm - Havdalah (Shabbat closing ritual)
