You've got mail !!
For my final post I thought it would be fitting to talk about mail !! One of my roles as a Resident Services Student Assistant (RSSA) is to work in the mailroom !!
There are 3 total mailrooms here at Cal Poly Humboldt. Residents living in The Hill, Canyon, Creekview, and Cypress get their mail at the Jolly Giant Commons (JGC) mailroom on the third floor, just under the J. Residents living in College Creek have their own mailroom attached to the College Creek Marketplace, and Hinarr Hu Moulik (HHM) has their own mailroom located on the 1st floor of the west building.
Some unique additions to both the JGC mailroom and the HHM mailroom is our new locker system. Typically near closing, mailroom staff will load any unpicked up packages into the lockers so that residents who couldn't make it to the mailroom before closing have 24 hour access to pick them up. There's also a fridge in either of those mailrooms so there's no need to worry about your perishable packages going bad ;)
Be sure to check your Myhousing portal to find your mailing address, if you fail to put your correct first and last name as well as the correct mailing address, your package will more than likely be returned to sender. If you have any special accommodations you can always email or call the housing number with such requests !!
