Happy national Walk to School day!
In their Studio One class, which is focusing on developing community projects, Ian, Evan, & Archer wanted to encourage a different kind of physical activity that could bring together not only our Barnhart community, but our local Arcadia community as well.
They decided to partner with Walk, Bike, & Roll to School for a fantastic community event!
The students created fliers, emailed parents & staff, contacted the Arcadia Police department, and even helped organize a post walk treat of hot cocoa and lemonade.
Well done, gentlemen!
And a special THANK YOU to the Arcadia Police Department for the es**rt, and our parent community for donating the post walk treats.

🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ Lace up, Barnhart! We’re walking to school! 🐾💙

On October 7, the Barnhart community is joining National Walk to School Day! 🎉 Since not everyone lives within walking distance of campus, we’re making it easy to join the fun! We’ll meet at Arcadia Train Station at 7:15 AM and hit the road together at 7:30 AM sharp for a walk to Barnhart.

👮 Safety first! Police will es**rt our group across Santa Clara Street at Santa Anita Avenue.
👟 Who’s walking? Students, parents, and Barnhart faculty members will make the trek together. Additional faculty will be on campus to welcome students and support those who aren’t able to participate.

☕ And there’s a little something waiting at the finish line… The Parents Group will be serving hot chocolate to our walkers!

Grab your walking shoes, bring the family, and let’s kick off the school day together! 💙🐾

Not only is the Barnhart community amazing, but our local Arcadia, Monrovia, and Los Angeles communities are as well!
We had such a fun community event at our ribbon cutting ceremony last week.
Food, music, drinks, desserts, laughter, and networking.

Our Kinder, 1st, & 2nd grade students had a fantastic hands on field trip today at Hurst Ranch in West Covina.
Students got to shuck corn, shake milk into butter, squeeze orange juice, grind coffee, tour a one room schoolhouse from the early 1900s, and so much more!
Thank you, Hurst Ranch , for such a fun morning!

We had a wonderful ribbon cutting ceremony for our newly renovated Middle School Lobby!
