Good Evening!! First off, WOW!! ACA most certainly has the best families and parents any school could ever ask for! With that comes a lot of great questions so that your children are prepared, and we love you for that!! Here are a few of the main questions that we are being asked currently:
Can they wear jeans this friday-YES, no holes, cargo pockets, designs, sparkles, or colors-just regular blue jeans. Beginning next Friday they will bring $1 to their homeroom teacher to be turned into the office. If you forget, $2 will be billed to your account.
How do we order pizza- specific details for how to order pizza through the FACTS account will be sent out, since that is more than a quick answer. It will be a communication on its own.
How and when do we order sweet treats- Sweet treats will be the last Wednesday of the month unless notified otherwise- a Google form will be sent out a week in advance with a deadline window. This deadline must be met for us to have the check ready for the vendor upon arrival.
ACA Outerwear- The mockups are almost complete. When they are ready a google order form will go out for you to preorder what you would like. This year every jacket and/or sweater ordered will have the students name on it as you enter it on the google form.
All drop off and pick up for ACA- Both are at/by the ACA gym. Please remember that we will not buckle students in your vehicle, please pull forward and over to the side to do so. In the afternoon for pickup, there are two lanes in groups of ten. No other vehicles will move forward until the entire group of ten is safely loaded and dismissed, then the next group moves forward. If you are the first car in either lane, you must wait until the buzzer is blown to leave all at once. In the mornings there is only one lane. There are students and adults that help get students out of the vehicles in the mornings. Please be patient with our student helpers and ensure that they have closed the vehicle door and stepped away before you pull away.
New parents and/or Kindergarten- Please know our hearts will hurt right along with your when we sweep, peel, distract, sing, ect while getting your babies our of your vehicle for possibly the next week. However, please know, kids are much better at "first" and "big events" than we are! PLEASE, PLEASE, do not attempt to walk them in. If you break this rule, it is certain that all of the other babies that are past their "moment" will be upset again as well. We will take the best care of them, and help them quickly meet their friends and learn what big school is all about :)
If you arrive before 7:30 am, you are more than welcome to form a single line and wait for the doors to open at 7:30 :). Please remember to stay in your vehicle, we open the vehicle door to help your student out safely.
We will continue to update you all as questions come in. Please remember, we are all parents, we are all in this together, and most of all...EVERYONE DESERVES GRACE! XO- Dr. Nelson :)
