Nostalgia - shared from a friend... The Day That Music Died!
Friends from my generation will understand this one. (Millennials not so much)
But whether you are old enough or not to remember this song,
you will be mesmerized by this video.
For starters, I never knew the song, “American Pie", had so many references. American Pie was the name on the Beech Bonanza that ended Buddy Holly's life on a windy, cold, snowy night near Clear Lake, Iowa along with Richie Valens and J.P "Big Bopper" Richardson.
The pilot was Roger Peterson, an inexperienced non instrument rated pilot.
When I first listened to the words "American Pie" many years ago, I thought I understood everything that was being sung.
As it turns out, I didn't have a clue.
When the words are put together with pictures and film clips,
the song reveals its meaning.
I thought some of you might appreciate this one also.
