We are grateful to Gilliam Springs Baptist Church, Arab First Baptist Church, and Arab First United Methodist Church for graciously opening their facilities to Arab City Schools this week.

Their generosity and hospitality are a reflection of the strong partnership between our schools and our community. We sincerely appreciate their support and the many ways they invest in the success of our students, staff, and school district. Together, we are building a stronger future for Arab City Schools.

Day 2 of our 2026–2027 journey was filled with inspiration, purpose, and momentum!

We kicked off the day with an outstanding keynote from Dr. Ed Nichols, whose message challenged, motivated, and energized us as we prepare for an exciting school year.

From there, our schools turned their focus to the “Foundations of Excellence” which will guide our professional learning and growth throughout the year.

In just two days, we’ve built incredible momentum that will carry Arab City Schools into the new school year. We can’t wait to see what our students, faculty, and staff accomplish together!

Medication Reminder for the 2026–2027 School Year

As we prepare for another great school year, please review the attached flyer for important information about medications at school.

A few reminders:
A completed Prescriber/Parent Authorization Form is required for both prescription and over-the-counter medications.

All medications must be brought to the school nurse by a parent or guardian—medications should never be sent in a student's backpack.

Over-the-counter medications must be in a new, unopened container, and prescription medications must have the original pharmacy label that matches the authorization form.

Welcome back, Arab City Schools faculty and staff!

Today, we officially kicked off the 2026–2027 school year with Institute Day, and what a great start it was! It was wonderful to come together, reconnect, learn, and prepare for the year ahead.

As we begin this new school year, we're reminded that every great year starts with a strong foundation, and we're grateful for the passion, dedication, and commitment our faculty and staff bring to our students and families each day.
