Another bright and beautiful day in Santa Cruz to do some service. This morning our 12C Summer Session 2 students gathered to tackle the task of cleaning St. Francis Soup Kitchen. Between wiping down tables, chairs, and counters, powerwashing the floors, cleaning windows AND cleaning the clothing boutique, there was plenty of work to get done by our steadfast group.
St. Francis soup kitchen has been serving the community of Santa Cruz for over 25 years, providing midday meals for the hungry, daily Monday through Friday. Other services offered include private showers and clothing is distributed on select days to those in need.

Thank you everyone who helped participate in the benefit concert on March 4th. And a special thanks to the manpower from our wonderful volunteers, the donations towards the raffle and food, and the talented Lloyd Whitley and the Lucille Blues Band for an amazing set. We were able to raise over $800 towards local homeless services!!

TOMORROW NIGHT!! Join us at Kresge Town Hall and support our local homeless service programs with a LIVE blues concert, featuring the Lucille Blues Band!
ALL AGES, there will be raffle prizes, pottery, food and more
$1 entry
All proceeds go towards supporting grassroots services for the homeless, including Food Not Bombs, Santa Cruz Winter Shelter, Associated Faith Communities Shelter, and the Warming Center.
This is an amazing opportunity to give service to those in need while enjoying live music, bring a friend and see you there!
