Buckle Up, Someone Loves You!

A few weeks ago, our FCCLA chapter partnered with the Kallie Mills Foundation for their annual Buckle Up Day! Our members visited car lines at schools across Appomattox County to hand out reminders about the importance of buckling up and practicing safe driving habits!

We also donated a “Buckle Up, Someone Loves You” sign to each public school in our community as a lasting reminder of the importance of seat belt safety!

As we head into this long weekend, we want to remind everyone to drive safely, buckle up, and remember that someone loves you and wants you to stay safe! 🫶

A busy week celebrating our future educators!

In honor of National Be a Teacher Day, our future teachers spent the week exploring what it truly means to work in education! 📚❤️

From hearing from our superintendent, past and present principals, and a representative from Grand Canyon University to shadowing teachers in our community, students got a firsthand look at the many opportunities in education!

We even celebrated one of our very own saying YES to FCS Education! 🎓❤️

To wrap up the week, our future educators signed their commitment to teaching with a sweet “Donut You Want to Be a Teacher?” activity! 🍩

Our FCCLA President, Kadynce Perkins, has officially been accepted to a Virginia college and plans to spend the next four years studying Family & Consumer Sciences Education! 🎓🍎

From being an FCS student and FCCLA leader to preparing to become an FCS educator herself. We could not be more proud of her! 🥹❤️
