Cub Creek Foundation Beautiful, peaceful, artist residency in rural Virginia. Specializing in wood-fired ceramics.

Cub Creek offers residency programs with ample studio space and wood firing opportunities for up and coming ceramic artists from near and far, with opportunities for short and long term residencies. Cub Creek Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit arts organization operating under the guidance of a board of directors with John Jessiman serving as the Resident Director.

Last up for our Noborigama leads is Heidi Kreitchet.

Originally from Philly, Heidi has been actively wood-firing since 1998. She received her BFA from Northern Arizona University where Don Bendel taught and guided woodfiring in Anagamas and the Noborigama. She assisted Don Reitz from 2006 to 2009 before attending Utah State University. Heidi started AMOCA Ceramics Studio with an incredible team and Founder, David Armstrong from 2011 to 2021. After 25 years of living out west she returned to the east coast to continue her journey in ceramics and painting.
