We kicked off with our first staff treat of the year on Friday, August 21. We set up sweet treats (mostly from Sherwood Sweets) and a lemonade bar in the mailroom so all staff could enjoy at their convenience. We plan to provide assorted staff treats on the third Friday of each month during the school year so stay tuned for more. We truly appreciate all they do for the students at APS! 💙 🩶

⭐ PTO OFFICER SPOTLIGHT: MEET KELLY! ⭐

We’re excited to continue our PTO Officer Spotlight by introducing a familiar face who plays an important role in keeping our school community connected—Kelly Chavis, our APS Teacher Representative! 💙🤍

As both a lifelong Raider and a dedicated member of the APS family, Kelly brings a wonderful perspective to our PTO by helping strengthen the connection between our teachers, families, students, and community. Her enthusiasm for supporting APS and willingness to jump in wherever she’s needed make her such a valuable part of our team.

You’ll also be hearing from Kelly throughout the year as she keeps everyone up to date on PTO news, reminders, and happenings through ClassDojo! 📣

We’re so thankful to have Kelly continuing with us for another great year. Help us show her some Raider love! ⭐💙

We’re excited to introduce our 2026–2027 APS PTO Vice President, Samantha May! 💙🤍

Samantha joined the PTO last year and quickly jumped right in, serving as our Hospitality Committee Chair. This year, she’s stepping into a new role as Vice President, and we’re excited to see her continue bringing that same enthusiasm and dedication to our PTO!

For Samantha, PTO is all about supporting our students, appreciating our teachers and staff, and helping create memorable experiences for our APS families. She’s looking forward to working alongside our officers, committees, volunteers, and families to make this an incredible school year.

This marks Tricia’s second year serving on the PTO Board, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome her back. Her enthusiasm, dedication, and willingness to serve make her such a valuable part of our team. We are so grateful for her continued commitment and can’t wait to see all the wonderful ideas, energy, and heart she brings to another incredible year.
