Such an amazing thing!

Nearly 150 meals were sent out this morning. Our hearts (and bellies) are full and happy this Thanksgiving. Thank you to all our volunteers who helped this morning. God bless you all.

Last week Students Ready For Tomorrow donated funds to the organization Feeding Appomattox. The funds were raised from their first bake sale.
Their goal was to help make sure local families in need were able to have a good thanksgiving meal. With the help of Appomattox Happenings founder Teresa Davis, she connected the SRFT group founder Jazmine Klinedinst with Cassie Vandergrift of Feeding Appomattox.

This connection helped facilitate what we hope will be a long and valuable volunteer relationship.

Join us tomorrow, October 15th, for our first fundraiser outside of Appomattox Walmart!! All proceeds from this bake sale will go towards providing Thanksgiving meals for local families! We will have pies, brownies, cookies, and more so bring your cash and come support our group and the community!

It’s almost time!! SRFT will have its first meeting this Wednesday! Any High School student (9-12) is welcome to come and learn more about the club, eat pizza, and play some games (they won’t be boring icebreakers we promise)

Hi Everyone! I am so excited to finally tell you all about the new group at ACHS!
Students Ready For Tomorrow is a Volunteer group established to provide students with volunteer experience that can be used on future applications for college, jobs, and more. The group provides organized volunteering opportunities throughout the year both group and interest based. Having volunteer experience and hours will give students a huge advantage but it can be hard to find them and/or keep track so this group is going to make all of that easier!
This group will benefit students by positively affecting them mentally and physically, providing life and career development, and encouraging community involvement.
This group will benefit the community by helping bridge the gap between the younger and older generations, providing needed support to local businesses, organizations, events, and people, and most importantly create a strong sense of community.
I cannot wait to share more about the group and for our first meeting on the 31st but for now like the video below says we are looking for volunteer opportunities as well as people willing to sponsor our group projects! If you or anyone you know may be interested please reach out and/or fill out the google form.
