Twenty five years after September 11, we remember what was lost and the extraordinary acts of welcome that followed.

Appleton North Theatre is honored to announce Come From Away as our spring musical.

After United States airspace closed on September 11, 2001, 38 planes carrying nearly 7,000 people were diverted to Gander, Newfoundland. Residents of Gander and neighboring communities welcomed strangers with food, shelter and compassion, treating them as neighbors.

Those acts of kindness inspired Come From Away, a musical about resilience, community and what can happen when ordinary people choose to care for one another.

As co creator David Hein has said, “This is not a 9/11 story. It’s a 9/12 story.”

Thank you to all our audience members who donated money and resources over the past few days. We're happy to report that we've raised over $4,500 to donate to United Way Fox Cities to support tornado relief. As Shakespeare said, "how far that little candle throws his beams! So shines a good deed in a naughty world. "
